The heart of Alpha Ministries is to see a hurting world transformed by the power and love of Christ. When catastrophic emergencies, such as earthquakes, floods, drought and famine strike, those affected are often brought face to face with the reality of human vulnerability and need. God has allowed ALPHA MINISTRIES to meet the immediate needs of disaster survivors with temporary shelters, medical care, blankets, food and water. Help a needy family. When religion and caste system leave people hungry and hopeless, your gift can provide a family with supplemental food staples (rice, lentil, tea, beans, milk powder & oil) for a month and open doors to share the gospel with those who might otherwise never hear the message of Jesus Christ.
AWARE Ministry
AWARE stands for Assisting Widows and Reaching the Elderly. A local church will adopt widows and elderly people who are destitute and without the basic needs of life. Through sponsors, who give we support a widow, the widows are given food, shelter, clothing and medical assistance. The greater needs are also addressed. If they “adopted” by the local Alpha bible Church. Through visiting the widow or elderly person, Alpha church leaders are able to determine the spiritual condition of the widows. The women are visited on a regular basis and if they are saved, the church will provide precious fellowship and encouragement. If they are without Christ, the church will pray for them and present Christ through words and through example so that they too may be saved.
Living Water Project
Asia already devastated by a series of natural disasters, many of our people struggle with disease and sickness because of contaminated water. Due to the ongoing persecution of Christians, the government often withholds money, for digging wells from communities in which Christian families live. You or your church group can dig a well and provide the life-giving gift of water to a Christian community. They, in turn, will share that water with the unsaved within their community as a witness for the one who is the "Living Water." (John 4:14)
